Review on πŸ“ AEM 30-0334 X-Series Wideband Ugo Gauge with Obie Connectivity 2.0625 x 0.825 inches - Afro Sensor Controller by Jeremy May

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Great product for parts

I love this broadband. exceptional response time and calibration accuracy. You can calibrate it for free as it ages. Easily connects to my HP tuners by plugging into the OBD port and adding it as a CAN bus device to your car's network. AEM has a setup video. This is a great option for those using standard HP tuners as analog inputs are not required to capture broadband data on new vehicles. With this usage, you don't have to worry about ground offset errors either. Although universal, you can also use older methods (analogue and serial 0-5V) if you have an older car. It can display digital readings in the lambda range, but the analog scale around the perimeter of the sensor is in AFR only. I gave it a 1 star rating because I feel it is incomplete without having or including a lambda faceplate overlay (should be the standard faceplate in this age of ethanol and mixed fuels). AEM sells a silver/white bezel for them, which they label "AFR/LAMBDA" but they're actually just labeled AFR. which of course only has any real value if you use ethanol-free petrol. It's a minor detail because I don't really care about the scale around the perimeter, I only care about the digital number shown in the center and it reads correctly when the lambda is set. There are also no cables/pigtails from the connector, which are necessary if you want to output analog data. So you need to find the right wire, pins and crimping tool if you want to output analog or serial data.
