Good for the price, with a few minor flaws.

For $25 I wasn't expecting much but I was pretty happy with what I got. I haven't used the pads or helmet in practice (unicycling) but I've tried them on and adjusted the helmet to fit. I will keep and use this gear, but there's a reason I'm not giving it 5 stars: First, I'm a 6 foot, 170 lb adult male with a short beard. My issues with adjusting the strap to what I consider to be a normal adult head size bother the buyer if their head is the same size as mine or smaller. If I were overweight, the issues described below probably wouldn't bother me. To be effective and secure, I had to fully tighten the chin strap while leaving the foam chin pad intact. However, this means that the pad is now so crooked that it only touches half of my jaw, while the zipper rests directly on the other side of my jaw. It won't be uncomfortable as the chin strap isn't THAT tight with normal use, but it was a surprise. If your head is slightly smaller than mine (i.e. the strap is tighter), you may need to trim the pillow short or remove it altogether. In any case, the buckle is always under your chin. If your head is bigger than mine, this problem will gradually go away as you get bigger. The only other issue is that the strap adjustment buckle doesn't hold the straps very well, even when I make sure the o-ring is in place. . If there were some sort of "teeth" to support the grip that would help, but alas it's just smooth plastic. I suspect that regular tightening may be required during use. It might not be a big problem, but it's a pain in the butt I'd rather not think about. If it slips, I take a small file to the buckle's grip points and file a few notches into it. A simple and effective solution, but that should have been done by the designer in the first place, not the end user! Nonetheless, I would buy these again.
