We're all used to sleeping with fans because of the white noise, but we've recently switched to noise machines to reduce the amount of dust the fans kick up. This noise machine has many sound options. My son loves the rain the most. There's enough night light so he's not scared, but not bright enough to keep him from falling asleep. He likes the color option for light that cycles through all colors. Or you can leave it on white. To turn off the light, just tap anywhere on the center of the top, which is handy and easy when trying to turn it off at night. I wish the cord was a bit longer, but it's medium length and should fit most people. Very happy with this product and so is my son!
