I bought these because I liked the birch look. I received them pretty quickly. After receiving them, I quickly opened them up to try them out. After nine batteries, or maybe I should say 8, the last battery refused to go into the battery compartment. For some reason the last battery just didn't fit in the right place. Too tight! When I tried to put that battery in there, the entire base of the candle was pushed into the interior of the candle itself. I was choked! I gathered the candles and put them away. I took them out the other day and tried to fix the candle. I was able to lift the base back up and finally insert the battery. It worked. Having lit all the candles, it turned out that the average did not work properly. I guess you could say this wasn't a good buy for me.
