It's not clear in the photo, but the loop that the headrest inserts into are straps, not paracord. This is an update as we were concerned that the stress points on the paracord loops would break over time. Red and black were chosen for the 2017 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, and in the paracord way, there's one side that has more red and the other has more black. Because the seats are black, we exposed the red side so you can see it better. I just folded the front seats and fumbled with the headrests to get them off. The metal posts fit snugly into the woven hinges that flex under the headrest. Very durable and convenient for the elderly and small children to get in and out of the back seat. High quality and we love that it's made in America with American made materials.
