Nice design! I didn't point that out in the pictures. Each piece of fabric is surrounded by a small ruffle. It's turquoise, not light blue, but I didn't care. I have dogs that climb on the bed, so a white comforter wasn't an option, but I didn't want a palette that was too dark either. That's right. I ordered a king bed for my queen bed and it only covers the side rails which is what I wanted. For reference, I have a platform bed with an 18 inch mattress. The duvet is thin but thick enough to hide crumpled sheets underneath when you're in a hurry to make your bed. To smile. I think it will fit in my top. Also load the washing machine which is a bonus. I love it. Update: Washes well in the top load with a reserve! Bonus points! Really happy with this blanket.
