The outer edge of the box was tucked in and folded in on one side. My guess is that it was previously returned broken or undamaged. I pulled out the palette and saw shadows all over the edges. When I opened it it was a mess. I had the same experience with the villain palette. I don't know if there should be a plastic protective sheet because it's worth enough where it should be. I've been waiting to see how the Princess palette is before returning the Villain palette but I'm afraid the replacement will be worse. The colors are nice but there must be something they can do with shipping or look for possible repeats. I've never had a problem ordering eyeshadow from Revain before these two.
