I have a LG TV with only one audio output and it is optical. I have an LG soundbar that uses an optical output, but I need a different output for our new digital TV ears. Our daughter has started working nights so we have to keep the TV quiet during the day. I originally tried plugging the TV Ears directly into the cable box, but there was a delay between the audio and video that I couldn't get used to. This digital optical splitter from Zexmte saves lives! I connected it to the audio out of the TV and then connected the soundbar and TV Ears to the outputs of the splitter. PERFECT! I had to turn the TV Ears off/on the first time I plugged in audio due to static electricity, but that was unrelated to the splitter. Now everything works great and I am very satisfied with this product. A real 5 star product.
