I have used van der Hagan shaving soap and wanted to explore the options. After reading the list of quality ingredients in Foam and Wood Soap, I decided to give it a try. I was NOT disappointed! The lather it produces is much fuller and creamier than what I'm used to. I also love the smell of sandalwood. It's important to note that this soap comes in a tin, but it's not a traditional 'washing machine'. The way it's made keeps it soft, but it forms in a can, so apply the soap to the brush and use another shaving bowl to lather. About a day after ordering, I received an email with helpful tips on how to use it. Products. It would never have occurred to me to fill the shaving mug with warm water before lathering it up. The effect is a pleasantly warm foam when applied to the face! Really enjoy it! Aside from the quality products, the customer service is nothing short of impressive. I received an additional email from the company to see if I was happy with the product. I also use wood free shaving cream and oil and it really makes a big difference in the intensity and most importantly the skin irritation I get while shaving. I have very sensitive skin and use feather or persona blades. I'm on the more aggressive side, but they don't pull hair at all with fairly frequent shaves. I also shave and use both products to shave my head. . It's a very pleasant experience! Needless to say, these products have been a part of my shaving routine ever since.
