Fan worked great. I had no issues with fan performance. The battery lasted several hours before dying. I was sleeping at the time, so I don't have a good runtime estimate. Being able to hang a fan on the tent, the light on the fan was a great addition as I didn't have to hold a lantern or hang another just to see. Since there were two of us in the tent, the oscillation function also helped a little. While using the fan, I can think of a feature or two that I would like to have. Waterproof casing as tents will leak in bad weather. Also don't forget the tripod mount, use a regular screw to fix the camera. Overall, I don't think I'll be using it on a light hike, but if I'm driving or camping where I can carry a heavier load, this will come with me. This summer, however, it will be included in the children's scout camp.
