This is a beautiful item of great quality. It's durable and soft to the touch, with an elegant Egyptian cotton sateen feel. I have the taupe botanical print which is quite vibrant - don't expect it to be subtle. The taupe background color is more like a silver gray and looks the same as the photo. It matched my gray and silver color and I ordered silver sheets for the bed. One side of the pattern has lots of flowers and birds while the other side has more background and fewer flowers. So nice that this duvet cover is fully reversible and the buttons are hidden. It comes in a lovely matching bag and after just lying on my bed for a day the creases are gone and I haven't even tried ironing it yet.
