Electric blankets are no newbie to me, I've always had at least one since I was old enough to appreciate the wonderful warmth and comfort they provide! I've always had a queen bed in the winter, and as far as electric blankets go, this is probably my 4th in just over 3 years. My last three were Costco Sunbeam brands, which I loved but had a very short lifespan. They stopped working after a few washes and since I wash my comforters at the end of the season before packing, I was disappointed too many times next year. When the weather changed recently, I was looking forward to plugging in my throw from last year, only to find that it stopped working too. It's time to try something new! I hope this litter will be the last! 🤞🏻 At first glance, a high-quality electric blanket seems to have been tested! What I like about this blanket so far: - It's very soft and cozy. Plush and not too thin. Keeps me warm and heats up quickly. Nice color. It looks more blue or quail gray than the picture but it goes perfectly with my decor! a top instead of a bottom middle, which I really appreciate compared to the Sunbeam brand. It looks like it would be easy to remove the large care label with a seam ripper or scissors as it is partially sewn to the throw instead of being permanently bonded like most electric blankets. Many reviews mention an aversion to the eyesore. What I don't like: - Doesn't seem to heat evenly across the entire duvet or towards the edges, heat is mostly concentrated in the center - Slight heat range between level 1-5 - Doesn't get as hot as a ray of sunshine. Setting this blanket to 5 is roughly equivalent to a medium sunbeam setting. A little hair loss, I hope it can withstand washing without tangling. Only time will tell if it lasts longer than one winter season, but I hope so!
