Review on Breville BES001XL Knock Box Mini: Sleek Stainless Steel Solution for Coffee Ground Disposal by Kyle Rock

So after a horrible accident and breakdown of a 3 year old Gaggia espresso machine I bought a new Cuisinart espresso machine (highly recommend) and this knock box to treat myself. Plus, you never have to spill hot coffee grounds when throwing them in the trash. But due to the angle of the top and the placement of the baffle, the bottom still splashes even when half full, only now they end up on the floors and counters. I don't hate it but I feel like the front end is too low to catch the bottom and often the basket pops out of the portafilter so I have to touch it anyway. I also think they work best when you can hit the full length of the box and the way it's shaped can't. It's not difficult to clean which is the best part and that the base separates from the base if you have plenty of counter space and like the look then go for it. If you want a real Knock Box for grinding coffee grounds, there are better options.
