Not soft fabric. Much better after 3 washes.
I only bought these because the reviews said the fabric was soft, but I didn't get that. After washing and drying, the washcloths cannot be used on the face. They are tough and prickly, thin, transparent fabric, without binding. I can't return them because they've been washed, but I can warn you not to repeat my mistake. I think I just bought some new rags. :( The manufacturer may have switched suppliers but what's on sale now is worthless. Update: after 3 washes they're much better so I can use them. Still not as soft as I'd like but a lot better.
