Let's get that out of the way first. Yes, this is a pretty solid piggy bank, it won't break at the slightest touch, like in cartoons. The really bad thing is that the legs and ears are hollow to keep the money in. Also the hole is a bit sharp so you might cut your finger trying to dig out the coins. I gave it to my brother (with money in it) who joked that I gave him a torture device. Obviously he was exaggerating, but that only suggests there are problems.
