i bought the medium expecting it to be tight but in fact it is how i wanted it, it was a bit loose but comfortable bathing. I could order down if I wanted a comfortable fit. I'm 5'4" tall, about 150 pounds and have a muscular build. I often find that because I have broad shoulders I tend to need to go up a size to get a decent fit. Although the average size normally works
