It may not be what the designer intended, but it fits my needs perfectly.
I have a late 1980's Jim Dunlop Cry Baby Wah that required a special power supply. The pin end of the power supply was at a 90 degree angle and the pin was not staying attached to the pedal. Because the male end of the power adapter is exactly the same as the earbuds, these straight adapters are a perfect fit. I have a constant power supply that doesn't get lost when I use my pedal.
