Soft, warm fleece lining and extra long coat - it covers my dog from neck to tail. The underside of the fur is also longer and reaches down to the belly. although my dog who pees on the fur during potty breaks takes too long if I don't roll up the back of the fur before going outside. A jersey outer shell is a good idea, but it started peeling within the first few weeks of wear. It is machine washable on gentle cycle and line dry. Sizing is really small - got a small for my standard 8lb Yorkie and it fits snugly around him, I have trouble getting his paws through the hand holes. Despite the above coat issues, my dog wore this coat most of the winter due to the warmth and coverage. I wish the manufacturer would use a non-pilling material and maybe make a men's version.
