I bought this because I need a heart rate monitor for training. If you are looking for a versatile sports watch, this is a good choice. But the HRM part is useless. You need to press the top edges of the watch with two fingers and hold them for 6-8 seconds. to measure your heart rate. Well I tried just standing there and it took me a few tries to register my heart rate. Then I tried it when I was on the elliptical and it was even harder to get readings when you were moving. I got maybe three readings out of at least a dozen attempts. I'm not even sure if the readings were correct as they didn't even come close to matching the measurements on my elliptical trainer.
