Shipping was very fast and the mattress topper was well packaged. It was very heavy and I was given two single beds to sleep in with an adjustable bed. I recommend double unpacking. Each pad comes with a nice sturdy pouch that makes it a lot easier to move around. It was an unexpected and pleasant surprise! The mattress pad is rolled up in plastic and can be unfolded quickly and easily. Plastic becomes a layer between the floor and the pillow, which is very nice. The cushion, cover and bag are of very high quality. It's nice to see that the company makes a quality product! Leave to swell for at least 24 hours according to the instructions. I was dying to try it so I just lay down on the wooden floor lol. It was surprisingly comfortable...like a plush, padded rug. It smells... it's mild and not like the typical smell of plastic or foam. It's almost like the smell of shampoo... I can't describe anything exactly. It's almost gone now. The week. It's very cool to sleep on the mattress topper. I was a little chilly going to bed the first night with this pad on (cold night) and when I went to bed it got noticeably colder and I was actually shivering under the covers. I sleep hot so it's really nice for me. I only have one sheet, so if you're too cold you can use a quilted mattress pad to help retain heat. After about an hour it gets warmer, but I'm not hot. I have a floor fan (I've been using it for two decades now and it's pointing right at me on the bed) and I had to turn it away from me! Soft. i really like him The downside for me is the way it is designed. It has a foam rim around the gel which I don't like. I kept waking up with the odd feeling that I was about to fall out of bed and finally realized it was foam edging. When I roll away from the center (yes, I sleep on the edges) the foam compresses more than the gel and there is literally a sort of tilt towards the ground. I deducted a star for that. I would recommend that the manufacturer either switch to no foam or a much stronger foam. Overall, I am very satisfied with this mattress topper and do not regret the purchase. I think I'll get used to the edge of the foam and learn to avoid it.
