Great mask but NOT durable - only for riding

I have a Cashel Crusader that I love but I wanted my horse to wear a mask all night so I could see better so I have this Bought. He tore it to shreds the first night. I fully understand this is for riding, I was hoping it would be a little more durable so I could use it at night. Otherwise it's light weight, great fit (I have a 1300lb traction bike, Warmblood fits well in either style). I wish they had made it a little more robust as visibility is excellent at night!
