Ties are too reflective for me in my opinion. He stands out too much. I find it difficult to combine my clothes. Even dark blue and gray colors are difficult to combine. Although maybe it's just me. I have a pretty simple guy. I mostly like neutral colors and throw in a random color just for fun, but these ties are way too much. I usually want the color to vaguely stand out, but it's like Marilyn Monroe's red lipstick on your face. The quality doesn't help either. For me it's like a double whammy. I think you get what you pay for. I would have preferred more fabric like fabric.
