Could be a bit stronger. My cat will stop using the hammock because she felt unsafe on the first try. She is not very heavy (she is 5 months old) so I feel bigger cats can feel this insecurity even more. Otherwise I really like the tree. The fabric is very soft but does not come out easily. My cat loves the scratching posts and they are big enough to pick off the ground but not on tables to knock things over (why is that such a common cat thing lol) I think it was a great price. I found a very similar tree at a local pet store for almost triple what I paid.
