well sewn, dense fabric; a thicker and denser surface than some boxes made from thinner, reusable woven paper fabric like grocery bags. The top is tight to the bottom for safety. Thick, smooth card stock dividers (think thick, heavier poster stock used for school projects), while not corrugated, are fine for Christmas tree decorations. They stand, don't fall and aren't wobbly. (I use it for silver plated Lundt bells and Wallace balls and similar ornaments with flannel pouches - 2 per compartment). It was perfect for my needs and I could buy it again!. They should be kept in my ventilated closet for many years and will probably do just fine in the attic, but I don't want these decorations in the hot, humid attic air of a middle aged house as it increases the risk of tarnishing. they arrived, I bought something similar after Christmas for 50% off (maybe 12.99) but it wasn't "cubic"/square; Rather it was long (like a bed shape), would take up more shelf space and not the quality or strength of the fabric like this, so 'stacking' is questionable. As well as the weight of the items it can hold. They are ok but not as good as this product.
