I bought both a waffle-knit one and a "regular" one and while both fit true to size, the waffle knit was very slightly tighter across the upper arms and shoulders. I ended up exchanging it for a non-waffle one and that fit perfectly. The knot also looks better on the non-waffle shirts. Take a look at some of the photos in other reviews and you'll see what I mean. It's a difference in the material and the stitching. All in all, I recommend this shirt, but go for the non-waffle knit versions.
