Perfect 9 " board for cake stand

I usually use cake stand one size larger to protect the frosting when shipping in boxes (and I can decorate the cake stand too). This time I was trying to make a mirror glaze cake and I needed the exact size of the cake board. This one was perfect in every way. These plaques are made from single side coated white paper and fit in the bottom of a 9 inch slot mold. Pan. One cake contained white chocolate mousse, so I had to freeze the cake and mousse in springform pans. Remember that I placed the cake board on the glass bottom of the springform pan. I wouldn't trust a cake stand to replace the bottom of a removable pan (glass vs. cardboard, you know). Anyway, like a dream, the frosting ran down the edges of my cake and there were no puddles where the cake board was. . The offset spatula went around the cake like a breeze. These cake boards were perfect for what I needed them for. Yes, they cost about twice as much as the 10" boards I usually buy. However, I've found (where I am anyway) that 9" boards are hard to find in stores and arrived right when I needed them. Also, I'm a home baker so I don't use many cake boards, so the overall cost difference is negligible for me.
