I'm really impressed with this little camera

My needs for a new camera are probably very different from most other people's. I was looking for a camera for my mother's 93rd birthday that was easy to use, took great pictures and wasn't too expensive. My mother has dementia and anything more complicated than pressing a button or two is too difficult for her to remember at this point. I personally own a few cameras, including a DSLR and a Canon G15, but I'm by no means a photography expert. Anyway, I had my doubts about teaching her how to use the "newfangled camera". I have to say that I was really impressed with the quality of the photos my mother took. I just taught her the on/off button and the button to press to take a picture. Of course we had a lot of photos of the floor, kitchen table and ceiling, but I finally made it clear to her that she had to see the picture to be taken on the screen before taking the picture. Forget about focusing and half-pressing the button to focus before shooting. I'm lucky she pushed the right button in the first place. I couldn't believe that not a single image was blurry or out of focus. I printed out some of the photos she took and they came out perfect. She was delighted! I hope this camera sparks a new interest in her and starts her learning process. If it can take great pictures with this camera, imagine what can be done with it if the user knows what they are doing. I'm really tempted to grab one of these to take with me when big cameras aren't practical.
