I had high hopes for this product, but it simply is not sturdy enough to withstand day to day life. One of the plastic ridges in the bottom piece (M1) cracked immediately from the pressure required to "click" it into the side pieces (Cl1), and the plastic pieces used to hold the lid in an upright position were damaged/weakened when I had to slightly bend the anchor pieces on the end for insertion, as per the manual's instruction. It's not hardy enough for the price - you could find a preassembled equivalent in the home and garden section of just about any big box store that is much sturdier. The plastic is very thin everywhere except for the lid. I can't imagine this item being able to hold anything that weighs more than 5 lbs (and of course in a storage bin this large, the contents are guaranteed to exceed 5lbs) without inflicting damage. The notion that it could double as a bench seems absurd given how flimsy and thin the frame is - I'm nervous to even try sitting on it. Save yourself the hassle and pick up something sturdy from Lowe's instead.
