I bought these not knowing what I would do with them, but the idea of having individually addressed lights was too good to pass up. It was possible to power it via a USB connection, but the seller said that was not possible. But I'm happy to report that they can indeed be USB powered if you use a NodeMCU controller like an ESP32 or ESP8266. Computer. They worked great. They have great functionality and look amazing! However, handle them very carefully, since the wiring is fragile and does not withstand strong treatment. Be sure to untangle and stretch them so there are no kinks in the wires. Additionally, if you want to connect two or more strands together, you need to add power to each additional strand. Because of this, they have the negative and positive wires hanging loose from the input connector. This is a great product and will work well for you if you use it carefully and take the time to learn how to use it properly. Google is your friend. :-)
