When I first posted this I thought I'd give it 5 stars. It has a great picture and I love the pan and tilt function. I have two other cameras with SD cards that record continuously. You don't really need a cloud subscription if your phone has 24/7 video access anyway. and with motion alerts on your phone. I thought this one would do. Maybe it should be. I contacted tech support and they told me to go to "storage settings" and change it to continuous recording. I have another camera with the exact same setup. It's not like this. I did not set up the "Recording Mode" recommended by Tech Support. I think they might support more than one app - or it's a phone version issue. I do not know. But the alarm is also unreliable when there is movement. Sometimes I can walk past the camera and get a notification, sometimes not. And - when there is a notification, it simply sends an image, not a video clip. This is a big disappointment. Also, the event clip is not recorded on the phone at all. Well, sometimes it does. Sometimes he's recording himself at all times - as if at random. I can record it manually and save it to my phone - it works great. But if there is a motion alert, I don't have that clip. Maybe they really want to sell a cloud subscription. But sometimes you want to watch a video showing what happened before the motion trigger was triggered. and then. if there is still activity. Because my other two cameras will do it - 24/7 recording and motion alert. And while tech support didn't explain why I don't have "recording mode" as they advised me to set it up.
