Review on SHANY Black OMBRÉ Pro 10 Piece Essential Brush Set with Travel Pouch by Marta Bruns

Overall I think I like these brushes but I'm not thrilled. I compare them to the quality of some much older brushes I got from Beauty Control (a company that people buy and then sell themselves, like Pampered Chef or Tupperware) over 10 years ago. My Beauty Control brushes started shedding uncontrollably so it was time to move on. Pros: The brushes are soft and a good length. The handles are smooth and have a comfortable weight in my hand. No cons, just considerations: I'm used to my powder and blush brushes being fuller than these. I will continue to use them and see how I like them over time, but my first impression is that they are not as full as I would like. I love the variety of brushes in this set, but for the F16 I would have preferred a thinner brush. . The literature insert calls the F16 a "Precision Liner Brush for applying gel eyeliner and lipstick," but the product listing calls it a "Rounded Concealer Brush." **The company did NOT misrepresent the brush in the listing. This is a thin concealer brush. The company must have changed the name to a concealer brush as it's too big for an eyeliner brush, but if it's going to be a "base brush set" I'd still prefer a thinner brush for blending. I even thought about it just because the documentation in the box that came with the brushes listed the brush as an eyeliner brush and I thought hey that would be nice. In general, I think I'll use the F16 as a highlight brush to control where I apply my eyeshadow and then blend with what's called the "E13 highlight brush". in, but I'm just a little happy with the case. I wish there were separate slots or loops to insert the brushes so they don't wobble. I'm thinking of adding styrofoam at the bottom with holes for the brushes so they don't fall apart when traveling.
