I took an Acer CXI2 End of Life Chromebox and converted it into a Linux Mint PC. I upgraded the RAM to 8GB and the 16GB SSD to Gamerking SSD M.2 2242 128GB. After flashing the BIOS with MrChromebox, I was able to boot Linux Mint from a USB stick. The new (old) computer works fine. The only downside is disassembling the Chromebox, which has SSD and memory slots on the bottom of the motherboard.
