I bought this to connect a special cable for use with my ham radio transceiver and amplifier. The ACC connector on my radio uses a 3.5mm plug like this one. But since I wasn't sure about some connections, I wanted to quickly model the last plug before I soldered the last one. This is exactly what I needed! Pros: - High quality cable and a hard plastic overlay on both the plug and the terminals. - Correct electrical continuity between connector and terminals. No shorts, crossed wires, or open circuits were detected with an ohmmeter. The screws on the terminals are very easy to turn, making it easier to connect bare wires. Ideal for rapid prototyping, can be reused for the next project. The connectors are labeled with plugs for easy use. - Wire leads have the look and feel of a standard plug, so when tested this product should work as usual. Cons: - Probably not the best option for permanent cable construction since screw terminals are designed to grip the wires, don't hold them indefinitely. But it's not meant for "permanent" use anyway, so it's not really a downside, just something to be aware of. Highly recommended for its purpose: prototyping!
