Review on Camco Vinyl Insert Inhibitors Extended RV Parts & Accessories by Chris Hamim

It fits, works but could be better

We have a 2012 Keystone Cougar and late last season I noticed cracks where the rubber roof meets the sides. Removing the old trim was easy enough, as was installing it, but make sure you have sealant on hand before you begin. Get a non-leveling type so it doesn't run down your sides. You'll need to caulk the ends and screw where they are on each end. My only complaint with this product is that the fairing arc is very shallow and not as tall as the original factory fairing. They are both 1 inch, but this pad is very tight and may need replacing after a few years. You can see where the pad presses on the screws that hold the rubber roof in place. This may not be a problem with other models, but it was the case with ours. Anyway, looks much better and installed correctly. After processing the pages, there were a lot of leftovers. The same trim is used on the front and back of the roof where it ends and on the rear side edges of our motor home.

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Not sure
