I have used many different Razer keyboards. I've used Black-Widow Ultimate, Ornata, and the default Huntsman. Out of all the options, this is the best, but I highly recommend paying a little more and getting red linear switches. They are far superior to Clicky Purple switches. Linear switches are very convenient for a mechanical keyboard because the switches have noise cancellers. This is the best typing experience I've ever had, and unlike the first generation of this switch, Razer has made significant improvements to the second generation of this board. They're not as easy to activate, so you won't get as many false clicks as you used to. It's an expensive board, but overall I think it's worth it. Another point worth noting is the built-in memory, so you don't have to use Synapse to save your lighting effects. This is very important as a lot of people including me hate synapse so it's great that he doesn't have to use it. I would say if the $130 price tag doesn't put you off and you want a good mechanical keyboard then look no further than the Razer Huntsman 60%.
