I have yet to fully charge it as I usually just use the crank. The light lasts about 20 minutes. after a minute or so of cranking. The radio sounds good. I can't say how long it takes. I just tested it to make sure it works when I use it this way. When you connect a USB charger to the USB port (Output) and use the grip, the input indicator lights up; but trying to fully charge the device this way would tire U. I would recommend a 10-20w solar panel to speed up solar charging. The small panel it comes with doesn't charge it quickly and I'm hesitant to leave it in the car to charge as the internal temperature already ruins a solar charger. This would be very useful for camping purposes. As I said above, test it with a 10-20W panel (Renogy or similar brand) to make it more useful.
