I bought this hat for my father, he had a similar hat which he loved very much but unfortunately my nephew's dog ate it on a fateful visit. It's my own fault for not reading better but we were surprised it was lined when we got it but my dad realized how much warmer and softer this lined hat is and how much he loves it. well sewn, the seams are even, the lining is plush, soft and warm, does not overheat and does not cause sweating. My father liked it, except for the metal tag on it, which for some reason annoyed him about its appearance; However, I was able to remove it with pliers and the hat was intact and can't be told it was there at all. All in all my dad loves it and now it's his cold weather hat.
