I've been using the original Vive for a long time. I was getting annoyed with the weird gradient lenses, so I grabbed some nice clear replacement lenses I found online for $50. They made the Vive a pleasure to use. I recently upgraded to Pro 2 and I feel like I've taken a step backwards. For all the complaints I've read about weird lenses over the years, I find the same lens design in the Pro 2. The only difference is that it's a different lens shape, meaning I can't use Vive's upgraded lenses . It's just an $800 disappointment that HTC is aware of the bad lens design and is still pushing a bad idea. Now we are waiting for some trickster to build a replacement for the new style. Or maybe return and switch to a different brand.
