It appears that the plug's direction was carefully considered. (Not up or down, but rather by 45 degrees. In general, it's not awful at all, and it appears to be a good wire. But they passed away after a month and a half. In addition, something about the plug itself was bent rather than the wire. If you pull them out slightly and do not fully insert them into the laptop or phone, they will not function (if you pull them out little farther or fully insert them, it will not function). Perhaps the instance is typical, but I won't accept any more second chances. I'm currently cautiously scanning over various JBL models in favor of KOSS.
