Works fine if you remove the errors

The device arrived in good condition and well packaged. The first thing I noticed was that the instructions are a bit sparse. You end up guessing a few things - like whether the fast forward is under a hatch or overhead (I didn't try it from below and it worked fine from above). I had some issues with the double spool stopping for me so I replaced the plastic spool that came with it with the metal spool I had laying around and the problem got a lot better, but it still stopped when the connection was hooked. A big problem was that the SD card folder attributes were switched to read only every time after using the USB transfer function. I didn't know it happened the first time until I found out he wasn't picking up the next drum. It doesn't tell you it's not writing, it's just that there won't be a new file when you're done. And when I tried to format the SD card from the menu, it said it was "protected". I don't know if this was due to my antivirus or something else, but to get around it, every time I start the USB transfer process, I check the folder properties and uncheck "Read Only". To check if everything is ok, I format the SD card before starting a new recording. If it works, everything is fine. Once I figured out those two curves and played around with framing, exposure and sharpness, it became a very easy device to use. Cropping was the only thing I ended up adjusting as standard exposure and sharpening seemed to work best. Were it not for the occasional stop of the take-up spool, it could be left alone as it automatically stops recording when the film leaves the window. like the originals (which wasn't great, but about what I expected). I've swapped 3", 5" and 7" coils and am quite happy with the results. One caveat: the time listed in the manual is shorter than the time shown on screen, which is less than the actual time needed per Reel The manual says a 5" reel takes 60 minutes, but once you start transferring the time left in reading is about 1 1/2 hours and the actual time is closer to two hours. Set prepare to spend some time with it!
