Just washed and dried my new duvet. I have a queen bed and purposely bought a king bed as some reviews suggested it might be a bit small otherwise. I have a tall lady and a feather block, and I don't regret that choice at all. I would recommend going up a size if you also have a high box spring mattress. The colors are beautiful and are a lovely mix of florals and paisley. They go well with a range of other bedspreads and rugs. I have some very high quality cotton sheets that are buttery soft - this comforter isn't that good, but the denims and stitching are strong. I'd rather have it right out of the box. I find that the fabric softens with use and washing. Finally, it is very nice that it does not have an obtrusive chemical smell, like some from abroad. Wash and dry once is enough to smell like part of my home.
