Have someone hold things together while you turn an Allen wrench or dowel, or hold a stool upside down; • Gradually tighten the four screws, one at a time on each leg. Yes, they should keep going - until the pins no longer slide in the holes. If you don't, over time the chair will loosen those joints and you'll fall on your butt. When holding the hex wrench with a box wrench, be careful to hold it straight to avoid damaging the tool or the hole. I hope these tips make your job easier.
