I received this when I was about 18 months old. All the neighborhood kids have something to ride and something to ride. He is not. I bought this machine thinking it was like any other machine that has its feet planted on the ground. nope This is the way up. His toes touch the ground, that's all. My son is in the 87th percentile. He is very tall. he should be able to get to the bottom. The assembly is fine. They give you additional tools to put it together. If you follow the step-by-step instructions, it'll be as easy as peeling a pear, so don't listen to people who probably just skimmed the pictures without reading anything, haha. It definitely looks cheap. It's a very flexible plastic. For this reason I gave it a 2 star rating. In addition, the steering wheel cannot be turned left and right. It goes straight and that's it. If the child wants to move it, they have to get up and turn it over. It's a little ridiculous. Finally, mine was scratched into the sky. I didn't rate the bike on that but wanted to mention it. I'm pretty sure I got the returned one.
