Useful Car or Outdoor Survival Kit

It's always good to have a survival kit on hand, even if it probably doesn't get used much or ever. So I got the Dargedalee Survival Kit and Gear. It contains several special outdoor tools and essentials that may come in handy in a survival or emergency situation. Before I get into the items I just want to say that the foam padding that covers the suitcase has a horrible chemical smell. I mean it smells. So you will probably want to delete and refuse to fill out. But let's get down to specific issues. The kit includes excellent steel for starting a fire; tactical pen/glass breaker; Spoon/fork combination tool, saber card multi-tool, small flashlight, keychain flashlight, whistle, wire saw, carabiner, paracord lanyard, short utility rope, rescue blanket and lifebuoy. water bottle holder. Some items, like the paracord bracelet, bottle cage, and rope appear cheap. Regardless, the dainty compass and ignition steel built into the paracord bracelet work. Just remember, as with ALL burn steels, you'll need to scrape the black finish off before it sparkles. The rest of the items are of higher quality. I particularly like the fire starter steel, tactical pen/glass breaker, spoon/fork combo, Saber Card multi-tool, and carabiner. Add all of that and you have a pretty useful kit to carry around in the car or go on an outdoor adventure.
