Review on πŸ”ͺ 15pcs Roland Vinyl Cutter Cutting Plotter Blade Set - 30/45/60 Degree Lettering Blades Spare Part by Jhon Clark

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great for the price. Cuts a 1.5 " letter well, anything smaller or more detailed won't work.

Here is my full review: For the price these blades are sharp and great for general use BUT they are not very accurate with detailed/fine cuts. I have a sign shop and I use a Roland Camm-1 Gr-540 vinyl cutter. It is very precise and cuts very detailed and small designs with original Roland blades, but they can be quite expensive. So I tried these and I'm not disappointed, but I'm not satisfied either. On the other hand, I have to keep an eye on the very low price. The cross test section has a height of approx. 0.25 (see photos) The left cross has been cut off. with a blue capped 60Β° blade (the best of all three blades) and the right one is cut with a genuine Roland blade. There is a big difference in detail and this is due to the thickness of the blade shank that goes into the blade. The blade shank is slightly thinner than a real Roland blade. When you insert these blades into the blade holder they go in very gently and as you move them into the blade holder you can really feel the slight movement of the blade moving the blade as you cut. This also results in some corners of the detailed drawings not being fully cut, resulting in lifting when weeding the vinyl. The blue letters in the picture are 2 inches high and you cannot tell the difference between this blade and the real Roland blade. So if you're using it for general use and cutting out designs or letters larger than 1.5 inches, you'll be fine. Anything smaller or more detailed doesn't work. I will continue to use these blades for larger designs/signs. They're great for the price. Please Note: This is based on a Roland Camm1 GR-540 vinyl cutter with Oracal 651 vinyl and is intended for professional use.
