Bought these to make a large batch of something and just wanted several containers of the same size. I normally use glass jars for most of my storage needs but that would take up too much space both when not in use and when needed in the fridge or freezer. And I certainly won't let anyone borrow my more expensive glass containers. So I needed a cheap container. Many of them. Same size. A lightweight. Disposable in the sense that I don't care if I get them back from someone (I wouldn't) and I don't care if they aren't reusable. I see it as plastic bags and stuff - maybe I'll use them again, maybe not. Once they are out of sight (because I shared food) they are given to others to be reused or thrown away. I didn't want/need multiple sizes. 8 oz total round containers. So I bought them and so far they are doing their job. 40 containers were packed in a fairly small carton, tightly folded and super light. When they run out, I'll buy more.
