Went camping with this baby recently and successfully kept in touch with the real world. My pesky phone will work all day at home, but as soon as I leave the house it runs out of power so quickly. I charged it in my car once, but I used up so much car battery I had to jump around (and a new battery). Now, as long as I have access to direct sunlight (which is plentiful where I live) I can charge my phone, accessories, tablet and even some other devices that I hadn't even thought of as it's more than just gives USB connection. All you have to do is unhook the velcro on one end, turn the panels over and lay them out in the sun. The power port in the side pocket has a red light that lights up when there's enough sunlight (and you'll be surprised how little light is needed to power it). This is especially useful when camping as there are metal reinforced holes with an attached carabiner. It fits easily in any flat space in a backpack or bag and weighs like a couple of magazines. When folded, this charger can withstand shock as it is lined with canvas. Even open panels can be scratched and damaged, but still remain functional. Highly recommended for those looking for an alternative power supply for rechargeable electronic devices.
