I live in Colorado and have 4 German Shorthaired Pointers. These dogs are trained hunters and are used to find birds. If you walk dogs on a leash and you have a rabbit attached to you, of which we have many in the area, or a cat, you will be pulled. I found these gloves at a hardware store in Montana and they were being sold for fastening fences. They are also great for dog leashes. Before the advent of these gloves, I could count on the gloves I wear walking my dogs quickly becoming punctured. Besides holding, they protect your hands well and keep them warm. Good gloves at a very reasonable price. They're pretty flexible too.
