Review on Wi-Fi Enabled Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark II Digital Camera by Aashit Tigga ᠌

Terrible product, not worth the money at all!

The camera was released by Canon solely for marketing purposes - a lot of meaningless "bells and whistles". A decent photo can only be obtained under excellent lighting conditions. Perhaps it can be useful to someone when traveling to shoot landscapes and architecture, because of the wide-angle lens and when there is no desire to carry a huge camera with interchangeable lenses.

Pros
  • It is difficult to talk about the advantages when the disadvantages outweigh everything. However, the color reproduction for a camera of this class is quite good.
Cons
  • With such a declared camera matrix, the image quality is an order of magnitude worse than that of its "native" brother Canon G16 (under exactly the same shooting conditions and in different modes). The frame turns out to be "soapy" and not sharp, there is a lot of noise in the resulting frame. To get a more or less decent shot, you always have to shoot in RAWe, and therefore you can forget about continuous shooting.
