Review on Air washer Winia AWI-40, white/black/orange by Stanisaw Socha ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I definitely recommend buying, I didn't notice any disadvantages.

It works around the clock, I fill the tank twice - in the morning and at night. How the sink also works - the reservoir has to be washed once a week, just as fine dust is deposited on the mesh covering the fan - it also needs to be unscrewed and washed periodically. In general, I am satisfied with the device. Bought for permanent use in the children's room during the heating season - and all expectations are justified. Compared to an ultrasonic humidifier, it is much more convenient to use: the air is humidified evenly, there are no wet spots on the floor (where a cloud of cold vapor from the ultrasonic humidifier is deposited). after a year of use. 1. So that the water does not "bloom" and does not stink, I add 2 tablespoons of table salt to the tank (at first I put 4, but this is superfluous) - bacteria do not multiply in salt water and every day the tank from the resulting mucus can not be washed, just pour water. Mine once a month, when the water in the tank seems very brown. Lime deposits on discage in salt water also do not form as quickly. 2. The grid in front of the fan should be cleaned more often from dust accumulations, otherwise the humidification efficiency will decrease. The mesh is held on by a screw and a latch - the latch is enough, and the screw can be unscrewed, it only prevents you from pulling out the mesh for cleaning. 3. The drum is rotated by a motor, which is similar to the motor that rotates the plates in a microwave oven. If this motor began to creak or knock, you can buy a replacement at the well-known Chinese Internet market, in the search to score microwave motors. The only thing is that it is better to take a 220 volt motor, the direction of rotation of which does not change (that is, the motor marking should be CW or CCW, but not CW / CCW). Rotation speed - 5 revolutions per minute, you can take 4-6.

Pros
  • It takes air from the sides, moist air is blown upwards - this is important for me, since the device is in the children's room and does not blow on children when they play on the floor. Again, you can put it closer to the wall than if the air was blown out on the sides. Quiet enough, even at maximum rotation speed, the noise is not annoying, in night mode it is generally comfortable. The air in a room of 27 sq. M moisturizes to a comfortable state, it is noticeably easy to breathe. No white coating, as it used to be from an ultrasonic humidifier.
